Tower of Hanoi

Tower of Hanoi, cm 21x8x8, birch/beech

€ 14,00

History: An old tale says that the universe will last for the time needed for a group of Brahma monks to move, working endlessly and generation after generation, 64 heavy golden disks from a pole to another, using a third intermediate pole to temporarily store the disks. All the disks have different diameters and have been stacked on a pole in decreasing order of diameter, with the largest one at the bottom and the smallest one at the top.

How to play: there are two rules to be followed when moving the disks:
1. Only one disk may be moved at once. 2 . You cannot put a larger disk above a smaller one.
It has been calculated that it will take the Brahma monks 18,446,774,073,709,551,615 moves to complete their long task. This game is known in present-day mathematic analysis as the "Tower of Hanoi problem".
The model we propose can be played with up to 7 disks. Try to solve it with no more than 127 moves (the minimum number).
